Cambridge O Level Chemistry 5070 Past Papers with Mark Schemes
Every Cambridge O Level Chemistry (5070) paper in the collection, organised by year, session and paper. Pick a year, May/June or October/November, and Paper 1, 2, 3 or 4, then open the question paper and its mark scheme side by side. Timed practice on full papers, marked line by line against the mark scheme, is the most reliable way to find what still needs work before the exam.

Prefer Practice by Topic?
Full papers are best for timing and exam technique. For one weak topic at a time, use the O Level topic-wise resources or the resource search. Other boards and qualifications are on the full list of past papers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Cambridge O Level Chemistry past papers are here?
Syllabus 5070 papers from the May/June and October/November series of 2018 to 2026, with question papers and mark schemes for Papers 1, 2, 3 and 4, plus the examiner report and grade thresholds where they are in the collection.
What are Papers 1, 2, 3 and 4?
As printed on the papers: Paper 1 is Multiple Choice, Paper 2 is Theory, Paper 3 is the Practical Test and Paper 4 is Alternative to Practical. Most students sit Paper 1 and Paper 2 plus either Paper 3 or Paper 4.
What does the variant number mean, such as 5070/21 and 5070/22?
Many series have two versions of the same paper (variants), shown by the last digit of the code. They test the same syllabus; which one a student sits depends on the exam centre, so practising both is useful.
What are the confidential instructions on Paper 3?
Paper 3 is a practical test, and Cambridge publishes the confidential instructions that tell the centre how to set up the materials. They are listed beside each Paper 3 so teachers can see exactly what was provided.
Are the 2026 papers here?
Yes, as far as they are published. May/June 2026 has the question papers for Papers 1 to 4, and mark schemes for all of them except Paper 3 variant 1 (5070/31), plus the Paper 3 confidential instructions, grade thresholds and the examiner report. October/November 2026 will be added after that series.
Why is there a short wait before a paper opens?
Papers are free to use. The short countdown before each file opens helps keep the site running while the files load.
